  • Hello

My name is Jacob Patrick Poehls (JPP).

This is the part where I am supposed to say that photography was love at first sight, but the truth is that I simply found it at the right time in my life and just went with it. In the many years since, it has evolved, strengthened & even struggled (very much like a relationship, actually).

Being a wedding photographer has been one of the greatest happy accidents of my life. It’s not what I originally envisioned when I first embarked on photography, but life is funny like that. To my surprise, it’s showed me a world of new places, new things and new people. It introduced me to the love of my life, built our home and, if that wasn’t enough, has been the most artistically rewarding work I’ve ever done.

For that, I will always be grateful.

I started JPP Studios in order to give people something that they will cherish for years to come. My approach is simple, I embrace what makes photography truly special: observing your surroundings, feeling the moment and seeing the light.

I photograph what interests me & try not to say much more than that. What’s important is if you connect with my work…and if you’re still reading this, you already know that answer.

It would be an honor to tell you story.

I look forward to meeting you.
